ImageLecture on CHRISTOPHER COLUMBUS: A HISTORY OF FRAUD & DECEPTIONS-Turns out Columbus was not Italian after all but descendant of Polish Royalty!” by Mr. Manuel Rosa, historian

Christopher Columbus 'was son of Polish king'. Portuguese historian Manuel Rosa, believes he has solved the 500 year-old mystery of the adventurer's true identity after a thorough investigation of medieval documents and chronicles.
The origins of the man who discovered the Americas has long been a subject of speculation.
Contemporary accounts named his birth place as the Italian port of Genoa to a family of wool weavers but over the centuries it has been claimed that he was a native of Greece, Spain, France, Portugal and even Scotland.
Others claimed his origins were hidden because he was Jewish or secretly working as a double agent for the Portuguese royal family.
But the latest theory suggests that the great navigator, who died in 1506 after four voyages to the New World, was in fact of royal blood: the son of King Vladislav III who was supposedly slain in the Battle of Varna in 1444.

NewsMax mistakenly named me "Manuel Rosa -Colon" and this just goes to show how even in modern days the media cannot get it right. I have asked them to correct this mistake but still it remains.
The same thing happened with Colón in 1493. April 1493 printer Pedro Posa changed the name to Colom while printing Colón's First Letter, then the Bishop of Monte Peloso again changed the name to Colombo when the letter was printed in Rome May 1493.... and the rest, as they say, is History, although a false and invented one. What a conundrum, I have been working so hard for 23 years to let the world know that Colón's name was mistakenly changed to Colombo/Columbus in the mass media and now I have the same problem with my own name of Manuel Rosa being changed to Manuel Rosa-Colon!!!!!

Christopher Columbus Was Not Italian!

Was Christopher Columbus Polish Royalty?

Christopher Columbus’ origins have long been shrouded in mystery – was he Italian? Spanish? Greek? None of the above:
In fact, his father was a Polish king, argues Columbus expert Manuel Rosa. Rosa holds that the adventurer’s father was King Vladislav III, who was not killed at the 1444 Battle of Varna, as thought. Instead, old Portuguese documents support Rosa’s theory that King Vladislav went into secret exile, married a Portuguese noblewoman, and had a son who, argues Rosa, went on to become known as Columbus. Columbus lied about his own identity to protect his father’s real identity.

After 23 years of research and with five academic books published, Manuel Rosa sets out the case that conventional understanding of Columbus’ history is not only misleading but utilizes false documents in support of an invented Fairy Tale about a Genoese wool-weaver.

THE POLISH AMERICAN BUSINESS CLUB, THE POLISH INSTITUTE OF ARTS AND SCIENCES and PSFCU cordially invite to a book signing and a lecture by Manuel Rosa titled:

CHRISTOPHER COLUMBUS: POLISH-PORTUGUESE CONNECTION

WHEN: Columbus Day, October 13th, 2014 @6:30pm

WHERE: Polish Institute of Arts and Sciences of America,

Mr. Rosa’s 23-year investigation unearthed unknown facts regarding historical documents discovered in various countries, the information that the supposedly Italian Columbus did not even use Italian in his letters, not even to his brothers. Add to this the sheer impossibility of a peasant Columbus being able to marry into the socially-superior nobility in Portugal plus have direct access to several monarchs in order to carry out his quest and it becomes apparent how the history we learned was not accurate. In short, academics now are forced to acknowledge that the Discoverer of America was no simple wool-weaver’s son from Genoa.

According to Mr. Rosa’s research, Columbus was in fact the son of a Portuguese noblewoman, and the mysterious Henrique Alemao, a false Portuguese name utilized by none other than Wladyslaw III, former King of Poland who lived incognito on the Portuguese Island of Madeira.

ABOUT MANUEL ROSA:
Manuel Rosa is a Portuguese-American historian and author who emigrated from the Azores to the Boston area in 1973 with his parents. In his early professional life he was employed as a graphic artist working on books and national magazines including The Atlantic Monthly and Boston Magazine and currently works at Duke University. He is also a recipient of the 1976 Boston Globe’s Art Merit Award and the Lockheed Martin Lightning Award. For the last 23 years, Mr. Rosa has investigated and searched out the facts concerning the Christopher Columbus’s discovery of America utilizing a non-biased scientific approach that has taken him to Portugal, Spain, Dominican Republic, Poland and many places in-between in a relentless pursuit of the truth.

The new information he garnered about Christopher Columbus resulted in the publishing of his first book in 2006, O Mistério Colombo Revelado in Portugal, followed by COLÓN. La Historia nunca contada published in Spain.
In May 2012, Kolumb. Historia Nieznana became a bestseller in Poland and in February 2014 Kolumbas. Atskleistoji istorija was published in Lithuania.

Another nutty conspiracy theory!! That’s what I first supposed. I now believe that Christopher Columbus is guilty of a huge fraud carried out over two decades.” - James T. McDonough, Jr., Ph.D. Professor for 31 years at St. Joseph’s University.

Mr. Rosa’s tenacity as an investigative historian results in an undeniable case for Columbus being a highly skilled, international spy whose real identity and mission is, only now, coming to light,”! said Thom MacNamara, production executive, who is adapting the script for Chelsea Multi-Media.! “We believe this will be a blockbuster, thriller film that will reveal the surprisingly sophisticated world of fifteenth century, geopolitical espionage.”!

Lithuanian-Polish Columbus - Evidential Support

Kolumbas. Atskleistoji istorija (Columbus: The Untold Story)
by Manuel Rosa
A Portuguese historian believes he has solved the 500-year-old mystery of Columbus' true identity after a thorough investigation of medieval documents and chronicles. In his third book on the subject Manuel Rosa, who has spent 20 years researching the life of Columbus, suggests that Vladislav III survived the battle with the Ottomans, fled to live in exile on the island of Madeira where he was known as "Henry the German" and married a Portuguese noblewoman.

Book Review: “Columbus - The Untold Story” The incredible story of who Columbus really was...

    Columbus: The Untold Story
    By Manuel Rosa

    Book Review
Until now, this book was only available in Europe and only available in Portuguese, Polish, Lithuanian and Spanish. Now, this gem of a book has been translated into English and needs to be read by an English-speaking audience. The Book Seeks a Publisher.
In Columbus: The Untold Story, Manuel Rosa has achieved a degree of excellence rarely seen in historical books of any kind. That is especially true regarding books about Christopher Columbus or Cristobal Colon as he was known. Rosa’s research is so compelling and provocative, it was difficult to put down the book.
The shocking story is not the usual fare of an historical figure. Without a doubt, this book has all the elements of the greatest spy thriller in history. It is grounded in well-substantiated facts. Rosa was meticulous in his arguments that the Columbus we thought we knew bore no similarity to the real man. Colon was a man of mystery and many secrets, secrets that have withstood 500 years of investigation – until now.
For over the past two decades, Manuel Rosa has doggedly researched Cristobal Colon and his results will astound even the greatest skeptics. His findings should be the cornerstone of any historical account of this spy and double agent who charmed his way into the Spanish monarchs’ court and duped the world. Colon possessed such cunning and genius that it is doubtful that he has an equal even to this day.
The real Colon was no wool-weaver from Genoa. He was the son of a king. He was a man of letters, not the self-taught and inept man history books would have us believe. His navigational skills were incomparable. He used his talents in order to position himself for his greatest mission, one that only a few people really knew.
King Joao II of Portugal recognized Colon’s ability and he also knew his true identity. He and Colon had a common goal, a goal that included creating a diversion for the Spanish monarchs. The fantastical journey to “India” that was presented to King Fernando and Queen Isabelle was a glorious ruse.
Rosa deftly presented the incredible facts about Colon and inserted those pearls of remarkable value throughout the book creating a treasure trove beyond compare. Through Rosa’s expertise, we are able to walk in the footprints of Colon. We discover Colon had to hide his identity even to his dying day. Although throughout his life, he seemed to leave clues regarding his real identity, clues Rosa uncovered and confirmed. Through cryptic signatures and letters written in code, Cristobal Colon was the James Bond prototype, but even Bond didn’t possess abilities like Colon’s.
If the real identity and mission of Cristobal Colon were presented to a world court today, Manuel Rosa’s work would serve as the indisputable proof about this man’s identity and his mission. It is a masterpiece of great historical significance that hopefully the world will not ignore. We owe it to ourselves to know the truth. Thanks to Manuel Rosa, we now know the truth about Cristobal Colon, prince, explorer and spy.  http://apossedevco.com/wp-content/uploads/Columbus-Book-Review_June2014.pdf

The incredible story of who Columbus really was...

    Columbus: The Untold Story
    By Manuel Rosa

    Synopsis
In the book, Columbus: The Untold Story, Manuel Rosa makes a formidable case that disproves almost everything we know about Christopher Columbus or Cristobal Colon as he was known. For instance, Rosa states that Colon was not a peasant, not the wool-weaver the history books have led us to believe. Rather, he was of noble birth, the son of the exiled king of Poland.
If we’re to believe the historical accounts of Colon, then we should accept that he was a self-taught peasant, a poor sailor who stumbled upon America by blind luck. However, Rosa proves with indisputable facts that Colon was well educated, spoke several languages and was an adept navigator. In fact, Rosa presents the case that Colon had to have been of noble birth. Therefore, he was able to marry into the Portuguese nobility. Even Colon’s brothers and children were given positions within the realm.
With the help of documents and letters, Rosa clearly offers a sound rebuttal to Cristoforo Colombo, the "Columbus" peasant from Italy.
The true reason for the deception is covered in great detail in Rosa’s book. As a genius and great navigator, Colon had a mission of his own, something he carried on from his father. His brilliant scheme to persuade the King and Queen of Spain that he could reach India by sail-ing west was a necessity in his work for the King of Portugal. The ruse was a complete success.
Further, Rosa proposes and then proves that Colon knew that it was an impossibility to reach India by heading west. His mission, according to Rosa, was to divert Spain’s attention from the true India and the spice trade and have the monarchs focus on the New World. This was all done at the behest of Joao II, King of Portugal.

The recent news stories about the alleged finding of the Santa Maria, Colon’s flagship are inac-curate according to Rosa. Colon intentionally ran the ship aground, and fired a cannonball at the ship while it was on shore. He intentionally disabled the ship and took the pilots with him so that the others could not return to reveal his secret mission.
Rosa presents us with the facts that Colon was working as a double agent, a spy working for and with the King of Portugal against Spain. He also reveals that Cristobal Colon was a man of many secrets. Rosa reveals those secrets by using even more documentation leaving the reader with little doubt as to who this man was.
According to Rosa, Colon wrote a book of Prophecies and was especially interested in the Apocalypse. Apparently, Colon had every intention of building an army to conquer the Muslims in the Holy Land. Additionally, Colon hoped to finance the rebuilding of Solomon’s temple.
The real Colon, as Rosa presents him to us, is far different than one we ever suspected. His was life of intrigue and many secrets. Yet, Rosa seems to have solved the mystery with sound docu-mentation.
Recently acquired by CMC (June 2014), The Book seeks a publisher. CMC intends to create a variety of multimedia products from the unabridged works of Rosa, including a major studio feature film based on the book.

No Santa Maria wreck off the coast of Haiti!

    For Immediate Release

“Columbus - The Untold Story” author refutes recent supposed discovery of the Santa Maria by treasure hunter Barry Clifford.

May 16th, 2014, Dallas Texas Columbus - The Untold Story is sensational, but true!
“Columbus - The Untold Story” book author Manuel Rosa vehemently disagrees that a recently discovered ship wreck is the remains of the Santa Maria; one of three ships used by Christopher Columbus on his famous journey and supposed discovery of the “Americas”. Rosa should know. He is considered an authority on the subject, having lectured all over the world.

In Rosa’s comprehensive 480 page book, a completely different version of events is offered with compelling proof, gathered from over twenty years of academic research on the subject. Published in Spanish, Lithuanian, Polish and Portuguese, the English translation is ready and the book seeks a Publisher. Rosa disputes the recent discovery for many reasons cited in his book. The author offers a qualified rebuttal in print, or interview.

THE FRAUD OF COLUMBUS’ HISTORY AND IDENTITY EXPOSED

The Fraud of Columbus' History and Identity Exposed by Manuel Rosa

Audience reaction to the April 11 presentation.

Manuel Rosa's lecture on, "The Fraud of Columbus' History and Identity Exposed" at Duke, was convincing and riveting. He presented many different examples of fraudulent documents that perpetrate the myth of Columbus, and was also able to answer salient and deeply probing questions with the ease and diffidence of the best academic scholars. Maybe he should team up with Dan Brown to publish the next best seller that would take America and the world by storm to get the truth out.
    - Salvatore Mungal

Manuel – clearly you are well read on this controversial topic…

That said, as I sat in on your lecture, I found myself dividing my thoughts into two different mindsets

    1) From the perspective of you, the speaker, explaining your journeys from some obscure picture or story (don’t recall what it was) in 1990s, to the campaign of trial & tribulation experiences you have endured
    2) And from the viewpoint of how so many individual fragments seem to fit together, as you have investigated this potentially falsified historical adventure, over the years

I have always been infatuated by those ‘who done it’ type stories, books & movies and you have presented a very compelling historical narrative, that captured my attention…  I have always viewed the ‘Christopher Columbus’ story like many other ‘Daniel Boone’ or ‘Wyatt Earp’, like stories of some truth / some myth / some legend…  But you have opened my mind to viewing the ‘Columbus’ legend as a ‘who shot President Kennedy’ type story…  My thoughts now turn to:  what a huge plot executed by so many people!  And why?

I enjoyed it – glad I finally got a chance to sit in on one of your lectures and now find myself wanting to learn more about this topic…
